the only sweater i'm wearing this Fall & why Selling Sunset is giving me the ick.

hello all! i’m back with the weekly Friday Morning Report. it’s been a few weeks since i’ve shared what i’m up to and i’ve got a lot to say today. sharing my (new) favorite haircare brand, the book i just read and loved, and what tv show i’m watching and why it’s giving me the ick.

plus!! so many of you have been asking for my San Francisco recommendations — keep your eyes peeled… this Sunday i’ll be sending out a newsletter which will highlight some of my favorite spots in the city for a perfect fall weekend in sf!!

R — i recently read The Wedding People because the cover was loud enough that it sparked my interest… and i really liked it! the story is interesting and explores deep themes, but there’s still an air of lightness overall. recommend!

E — dinner is my favorite meal of the day because i’ve got my method on lock. i’m going to start sharing more dinner recipes with you all, and some meal plans here on substack for paid subscribers! first one drops next sunday.

P — is it me or does the entire cast of selling sunset just give you the ick? listen - i love the show as much as the next girl. so when i say this, i say it with love: it’s painful to watch the *extreme* botox and filler they continue to inject themselves with in addition to their literal need for useless drama. it just feels kind of sad but also it’s reality tv—who knows what’s real. my true hope is that when they’re done filming they all hang out behind the scenes and laugh about duping us… in their Valentino sets.

O — my hairstylist (@heathersalmonshair) in the bay area recently introduced me to Roz Haircare and i’m not kidding when i tell you it legittt changed the texture of my hair in the best way. i use the hair mask + shampoo and conditioner combo and bar none, best it’s ever looked.

R — this mockeneck from J Crew is my perfect fall sweater. every year i have one sweater that i wear so many days in a row it starts to become awkward for the people i hang out with. i buy the men’s version in an XL. it’s soft and very much gives Meg Ryan vibes for the fall.

T — i tried two new pastry shops in San Francisco this weekend! pictured is one of them and the cookies were the best i’ve tried in a while. will mention them in Sunday’s newsletter!
