this is definitely one of those recipes that doesn’t need a recipe, but here you go anyway. i love this simple, elevated appetizer so much!
Burrata with Crispy Prosciutto & Cherries
ingredients
1 ball fresh burrata
4 slices prosciutto
1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4–5 sprigs fresh thyme
Flaky sea salt, to taste
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
method
preheat a skillet over medium heat. add prosciutto slices and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until crisp and golden. transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool.
place the burrata in the center of a serving plate. scatter halved cherries and crispy prosciutto around it.
drizzle everything generously with olive oil. strip a few thyme leaves from the sprigs and sprinkle over the top. finish with flaky salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
best enjoyed with crusty bread or crackers to scoop everything up.
