BOO! š» i know i donāt usually slide into your inbox on a thursday morning, but itās a holiday so i wanted to celebrate by sharing a lil recipe because everyone and their mom is getting sick and i just wonāt stand for it!!
letās just get this part out of the way: this recipe takes a month. BUT WAIT. itās so easy and so worth it.
i am not letting any of you fall prey to sick szn on my watch, so today iām teaching you how to make a fire cider. itās an herbal remedy of appleĀ ciderĀ vinegar, herbs, spices and heat creating vegetables thatās used to support the immune system. and itās absolutely delicious, plus, takes like 10 minutes to put together. then you just have to stick it in the back of your pantry, shake it once a week, and wait like 30 days until itās ready.

i LOVE sipping on it throughout the day as a warm mocktail. it tastes healing and is surprisingly really, really delicious. if you feel a cold coming on, drink it. if youāre already sick, drink it. if youāre kinda chilly and want to warm up, drink. it. the options are endless!
the special thing about this recipe too, versus fermented garlic, is that there is a very very very low risk of botulism because the high acidity of raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) prevents the growth of the bacteria that causes botulism (but, as always, with stuff like this, if youāre pregnant or breastfeeding etc. please consult a medical professional before trying) āi tried fermenting garlic last year for sick season and got too afraid to eat it after hearing it could potentially kill me which was a huge waste of honey and got me annoyed, lol. moving onto bigger and better things! Fire Cider is safe as long as you use the right ingredients!
