Immunity Juice

and 3 ways to drink it

when fall rolls around i like to batch a big jar of this immunity juice at the start of the week and keep it in the fridge. you can take it straight as a shot when you feel a tickle in your throat, pour some into a mug with hot water for a cozy tea, or blend it up with orange juice and protein powder for a creamsicle-y orange julius moment.

Immunity Juice

makes ~3 cups, keeps in fridge up to 5 days

ingredients:

  • 2 oranges, peeled

  • 1 lemon, peeled

  • 1-inch knob fresh ginger

  • 1/2-inch knob fresh turmeric or 1/2 tsp ground turmeric

  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

  • 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

method:

  1. run all ingredients through a juicer or blend with 1 cup water. if you’re using a blender, strain into jars with a fine mesh strainer.

  2. store in glass jars in the fridge; shake before drinking.

  3. three ways to enjoy your juice:

    1. as a shot

    2. as a hot tea - add 1/4 cup to hot water in a mug
