a lot of people think dry Janurary has to be boring. like… you come home from work and have to drink water; but that’s not the case. there are so many incredible mocktails that you can make easily with items that you probably having lying around in your fridge and pantry. plus, i always find a way to get some extra benefits from the drinks i make. this mocktail is packed with veggies, citrus and even some ginger for a refreshing kick. it tastes delicious and is good for you, too.
Kitchen Sink Green Dream Mocktail
ingredients (makes 2)
1 large english cucumber, chopped into small halves
1 small handful parsley
1 lime (about 1tbsp lime juice)
1oz honey syrup (equal amounts honey and hot water)
4 oz sparkling water
1 knob ginger, sliced
pinch of salt (optional, for balance)
ice cubes
method
add cucumber slices, parsley, lime and ginger to a blender. blend until smooth.
strain the blended mixture 2-3 times until no sediment remains.
to a shaker, add green mixture, honey and ice. shake until chilled.
if using cucumber juice, combine it with lime juice and sweetener in a shaker.
fill a glass with ice. strain the drink over the ice. enjoy!
garnish: optionally, garnish glass with citrus salt (lime zest+salt). you can also freeze cucumber slices inside of ice cubes. another option is to add thin cucumber slices to the side of the glass.
