all i’m going to say is this: if you do choose to make these, hide them from yourself. they are the most delicious & addictive snack i’ve ever made. they’re spiced walnuts, sure, but i also like to think of them as Thanksgiving crack. they make a great gift, too!
Maple & Pumpkin Spice Walnuts
(full recipe, grocery list, and step-by-step pictures below)
ingredients
enough walnuts to cover a large sheet tray (~4-6 cups)
large handful of sage, chopped finely
1.5tbsp pumpkin pie spice
3-4 tbsp maple syrup, depending on desired sweetness
method
preheat oven to 375 degrees. add walnuts to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. you want to make sure they’re on a large enough sheet that there aren’t a ton overlapping each other.
pour maple syrup over the walnuts. add sage + pumpkin pie spice.

mix to combine until completely incorporated - the entire tray of walnuts should feel sticky and covered in spice!
add to the oven for about 8 minutes, then pull out and mix. add them back into the oven for 5-10 minutes. make sure you keep a close eye on them so they don’t burn - everyone’s oven strength is different and these are easy to overcook! enjoy!
