for the record, i’m NOT good at baking… but i’m also kind of in my baking era? and i love that for me. and i also love that for you. because when i enter an era, you by proxy also enter that era. and we love baking! sort of. the thing is, i’ve never been so good at math and baking feels reallllly close to mathematics which is not chill. however, i know that all good things come with time and honestly, i’ve really surprised myself with what i can do over the last year. do i still add numbers with my fingers? yes. do i still have dreams about failing geometry? also yes! BUT, do i now know the difference between a gram and an ounce? actually, no. i don’t. and all i can say is that when i finally figured out why my sourdough starter wasn’t rising for over two weeks, i was scared for myself.
