my start to the year has been.. chaotic.. and i haven’t settled in like usual. but what i do know is that what i make is my gateway to practicing what i preach. there’s probably a rule about warm foods equaling calm energy, and honestly, i believe it because the more warming foods i make, the slower i move, the deeper i breathe, the more i trick myself into thinking i’m relaxed. which isn’t really science, but it makes sense to me. so here’s my drink of the hour: a spiced citrus hot toddy. the perfect relaxing mocktail for a january day.

1 cup freshly squeezed citrus juice (mix of orange, tangerine, lemon & grapefruit)
