Strip Steak with Spring Veggie Salad + Buttermilk Ranch
the first recipe in my new series: Dinner for One
i want to start by saying i have deep respect for my dinner party girlies. but there is truly nothing more thrilling than making a beautiful dinner just for me, completely alone. this one is a pan-seared NY strip steak with a spring veggie salad dressed in a homemade buttermilk ranch. plus carrots and blanched asparagus on the side. i usually would never make steak for myself alone, but we need to romanticize our weeknights a little bit more!
the best part about cooking for yourself is that the pressure is off. i watched twilight while i cooked and it absolutely heightened the experience. also, i prefer my steak a little overdone and i don’t need anyone shaming me about it.
take it as your sign to romanticize a weeknight alone and to slay down on a meal you make for no one else but yourself.
