call me crazy but getting into bed before 8pm on a weeknight is truly one of my great joys in life. lets just say i would have a really hard time being a vampire...
not to brag, but one of the best parts of slowing down on alcohol is that regardless of what i do the night before, i always sleep well and wake up the next morning feeling refreshed. yet sometimes we need a little extra help and at the same time we wanna be cayuuuute about it, so here’s another Sober October mocktail for you: Vampire’s Kiss - filled with ingredients for a beautiful and restful night’s sleep.
Vampire's Kiss Sleep Mocktail
ingredients:
3 oz tart cherry juice (rich in melatonin)
2 oz pomegranate juice
1/4 oz lime juice
3 oz chamomile tea (calming)
1/2 oz honey (soothing)
sprinkle of edible lavender (relaxing)
splash of coconut water (for hydration and electrolytes)
honey + red food dye (optional, for garnish)
method:
brew chamomile and lemon balm tea and let it cool slightly by adding ice or chilling in the fridge.
if you’re making these for a party or want the cool blood dripping garnish: add honey to a plate with a bit of red food dye. mix until the honey is red. place the glass, rim side down, into the honey and coat the rim. flip it right-side-up and allow the honey to drop. chill in the freezer while you’re making the drink to seize the honey from dropping too far down the glass.

in a shaker, combine tart cherry juice, pomegranate juice, the cooled teas, honey, lavender and coconut water. shake gently to mix.

strain into a glass with ice. enjoy!

I don't see lemon balm tea on the ingredient list, but it is listed in the directions. Is it an ingredent? If so how much is supposed to go in the drink?
