good morning and happy friday, my people! the big news in my world is that my bike and i got into a fight with the wind 2 weeks ago (aka i flew off while riding) and it was intense. have i complained more than the normal amount? yes, but i’m fragile, okay?! 18 days later and i’ve decided that my (future) children will never play contact sports. interest in football will be met with an immediate enrollment in theatre classes. i’m only sort of kidding. anyway, i’m grateful to be doing much better. there’s the medical update nobody wanted or asked for! in other news, i hope you all love today’s roundup!
& if you haven’t already, join the group chat! currently we’re in a heated discussion about It Ends With Us, the movie.
R — i’m reading another book that was recommended to me by every millennial i know. i read Dolly Alderton’s new book earlier this year and loved it. to no surprise, i’m also really enjoying this one.
E — i got a recc from a follower to hit TwoFish Bakery in Sea Ranch, so we stopped by on our way home last weekend and it was *chefs kiss*. my favorite vibe is a warm baguette, butter, jam and coffee for breakfast. but this also had an ocean view!
P — well, here i am again bingeing another Yellowstone series. this time it’s 1923 and in my opinion everyone’s acting (besides Helen Mirin’s) is awful. does that mean i’m going to stop watching? absolutely not. fun tidbit, one of the main characters in this show is going to play Atlas in It Ends With Us (!!!)
O — i never thought i’d find a pair of blue jeans that fit me as well as my 10 year old vintage levis, but here we are. i’m actually obsessed with the Everyday Jeans from Still Here NYC and adding them to my capsule closet. i miiiight just have to get the white/black pair, too. when a pair fits, you buy it in every color… that’s the saying, right?
R — it’s been a week since my getaway to Sea Ranch Lodge and i haven’t stopped thinking about it. i really can’t recommend this place enough. i think spring time is the best time to go. it’s quiet, warm and beautiful. i’ll be posting film photos from our trip to my sunday letter this weekend for paid subscribers.
T — i found the most beautiful lilacs at the farmer’s market¹ and almost threw up when i saw the price but they were worth every penny. gloomy mornings are back in San Francisco and these beauties are making the metaphorical sun shiiiine.
¹i may or may not have gotten them at the flower shop on the same street as the farmer’s market… hence the price…. still counts…?
