good morning! hi! hello! happy friday. hope everyone’s doing okay out there.
i’m heading home to visit my parents for 10 days, which is both exciting and kind of stressful. nothing like family to make you feel 15 again in the worst way possible. if that hits, here’s something i wrote about staying sane with family during the holidays, but really it applies any time you're stuck in your parent’s home wondering if you're regressing.
hoping to spend some time relaxing, breaking out of my usual routine, and teaching Frankie how to swim (!!!!!).
i’ll be sending some updates in the chat. what are you up to this weekend? tell me everything!! throw it below ↓
Friday Morning Report

R | Gossip Time— something about me that you may not know is that i love, and have always loved, pop culture drama. so this substack by
is my absolute bread and butter. i pay for a membership and it’s so worth it.E | Pizetta 211 — the cutest lil spot here in sf that has a delicious small menu and the cuuuutest vibe. loved everything about it and will be back.
P | Love Island USA — we’re back babyyyy. i’m newish to Love Island. last year was my first time watching (i know, i know) but hot take: i like last years cast sooo much better. is it too early to tell? idk. they all feel so AI to me. we’ll see how things shape up; i’m hopeful for some good bombshells.
O | Boyfriend Cashmere — i have this sweater in red and have been waiting for the parm stripe colorway to come back into stock. it’s here! i bought it! i don’t regret it. i love this sweater oooh so much.
R | Heather Salmons — if you’re looking for the best bob in the bay area, look no further. heather is just theeee best. it’s crazy to me how i ever had long hair! i think the bob is chic and fun and anyone can pull it off!
T | Candy — i saw candy bins the other day while walking around town and literally bought & ate almost a pound of sour candy. best decision i’ve made in a while.
Recipe Roundup
some absolute banger recipes dropped this week on here. enjoy!
Seared Salmon Jacket Potato
this recipe is the second in my new series Dinner For One, where we romanticize cooking for yourself and no one but yourself. this recipe is as low-effort as it is high-reward: crispy-skinned salmon rubbed with a chili powder blend, perched on a baked potato atop a green goddess yogurt sauce. most of the time, you’re just letting things cook. hands-on time cook time is
Spring Roll Chopped Salad
there’s a very specific kind of peace that comes from knowing your fridge is full of something already made. i am a sucker for routine, so i just make one giant salad every sunday and let it feed me for days.
Pineapple Skin Tea
public service announcement!! don’t toss your pineapple skins!! simmer them instead. this tea is a cozy, functional way to use what might’ve ended up in the compost bin.

As someone who has watched A LOT of love island, I will say that last year's US cast/season was exceptionally good, best ever even. AND it's too soon to tell. Or at least too soon to be invested. I have high hopes it'll get better from here!
Could not agree more about Gossip Time, I am literally giddy every time one hits my inbox!!
