hi divas! i hope your weekend’s been gentle and you’re looking forward to a short week. whether you’ve got big plans or you're soaking up the slowness, i’m glad you’re here.

i’ve been sitting with the discomfort of what it means to celebrate “independence” when so many people, both here and abroad, are still fighting for theirs. if you’re feeling that tension too, you’re not alone.

but i also know many of you will be spending the long weekend outside, with friends, with food, with sun. and while i don’t have the answers to the big stuff, i believe small acts (like cooking for people you love or showing up with something homemade) matter too. these recipes are for wherever you’re at. hosting, road-tripping, or just trying to bring the thing everyone talks about.

whether you’re feeling celebratory or just grateful for time with people you care about, i hope these recipes add something good to your weekend. as always, sending lots of love and thank you for being here!!

Hot Dog Toppings, 3 ways

the biggest crime you can commit during the summer season is hosting a BBQ and not providing guests with a variety of hot dog toppings. like, how rude. a few months ago i grabbed some ingredients at the store before heading to a friend’s BBQ and made some toppings for everyone and it was such a hit. i knew i wanted to bring it back during the summer season.

Mini Cherry & Almond Pavlovas

i do feel like pavolvas are very much a hot girl dessert and even tho i’m lowkey tired of seeing them in silver cups all over my pinterest feed, i do love it and knew i wanted to put my own spin on it. i feel like this is the ultimate low-lift, high-reward dessert to make for multiple guests.
