Friday Morning Report | 19
my favorite chocolate & the viral amazon product i think is worth the hype
hi! happy friday! this week really moved at a glacial pace for me. i keep thinking it’s a day later than it actually is and that’s never a good thing. regardless, i’m grateful for the sunshine and coffee. i’ve got a goood list of what i’m loving right now down below for you all.
this Sunday i’ll be dropping a personal essay about how a few months ago i was congratulated by a TSA agent for being pregnant. spoiler alert, i am not, in fact, pregnant.
btw. i have friends, and i’m sure followers, who have been impacted by both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. if you can, please consider donating what you can here. if you’d like more resources on where to donate, click here. thank you and stay safe <3

R — my friend Sarah (all of you know her as Broma Bakery) came out with her book, Sweet Tooth, this week! i look to her for so many baking recipes and tips!! btw, if you live in the Bay Area you can join us at Omnivore Books in Noe Valley on her book tour! we’ll be chatting about all the things - it’s free and i can’t wait!
E — one of my favorite chocolate companies, Spring & Mulberry just dropped FOUR new flavors and i am in love with them all. i am a stan for orange in chocolate and their blood orange chocolate is the best out there. plus, all of their chocolate is date sweetened!
P — Lizzy Mcalpine came out with her new album! emo girls who love fall and sad music and maybe crying while listening to sad music, rejoice!!
O — Sezane just dropped their new knitwear collection and you knoooow i can’t resist a Sezane sweater! this bright red turtleneck is going to be my winter 2024/25 VIBE. this color is sold out, but i linked the cream because i love it just as much!
R — i was convinced by a friend to purchase a candle warmer and after using it for the last 2 weeks i am here to tell you, it’s worth the hype. there’s this natural soap i’m obsessed with and she told me i could place the soap inside of an empty candle vessel and throw it under the warmer, which i have yet to try! updates to come.
T — i recently treated myself to 30 minutes at a puppy adoption fair and i can’t stop looking at the videos and pictures. if you’re looking for adoption centers in the bay area, here’s a few: Marine Humane Society, Copper’s Dream, Jelly’s Place & Oakland Animal Services

Fall Bean Chopped Salad
you know when you make a meal and you just can’t stop eating it? i think it’s called a hyperfixation meal… but this feels like more than it. it becomes the most exciting part of your day and sometimes, even on the hard days, is what gets you out of the bed in the morning? that’s this Fall Bean Chopped Salad.

Chewy Pumpkin Spice Sesame Cookies
if i’ve learned one thing this year, it’s that love languages come in all shapes and sizes—and mine happens to come in the form of food. a few months ago, i started open water swimming, and there’s no way i could’ve taken that first plunge without my friend by my side. sometimes, accepting help feels like the biggest act of courage, and once you’ve received it, giving back in your own way feels even more meaningful.

Rattlesnake's Revenge Mocktail
*it’s soOooober OctOooober* and we’re just getting started over here miluvs! when i decided to slow down on drinking, one of the wildest things was how chill everyone around me was about it. i thought it’d be a big deal, but 3 years later, it’s no questions asked and no pressure which has been such a relief. i
Insane to me that someone would think you are pregnant but also why are people still DOING this!! lol. I was gifted a candle warmer last year and it is hands down one of the best things ever. Will be making that bean salad too it looks soo good
I can’t believe anyone would think you are pregnant! I still remember the first time this happened to me. I was in a COMPLETELY FULL nail salon and picking out colors. The owners daughter (who was about 5) came over and asked me if there was a baby in my belly. I said “no”. Then she said “why is your belly so big if there’s not a baby in there”. The salon went silent. I used all the courage I had to say “some people have bellies and that is ok”. She replied “why don’t you have a baby in there”. 😂 I really couldn’t win. The worst part was I was wearing a tight fitted dress I was already nervous about wearing.
Maybe this is just some kind of female right of passage.
